Oahu Pictures - Kualoa Beach Park
Oahu Pictures - Kualoa Beach Park - Traveling north on Kamehameha Hwy about eleven miles north of Kaneohe, at the northern edge of Kaneohe Bay, is Kualoa Beach Park. This little sliver of golden white sand is usually not crowded. There are awesome ocean and mountain views. There are amenities such as restrooms, barbecue grills, showers, and camping is also available.
Chainmanís Hat, or Mokoliíi Island, is a well-known attraction found just offshore of Kualoa Beach. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the tiny island by kayak. Bring polarized sunglasses to cut the glare on the water. Itís like snorkeling from your kayak. The island is about a quarter mile offshore, and at low tide you can wade across the submerged reef from Kualoa Beach Park to Chinamanís Hat. Be aware of ocean conditions at Kualoa Beach to assure you provide yourself a safe way back.
