Activities & Attractions on Maui (3 of 7)

MAUI LAND ACTIVITIES

Maui has such diverse landscapes, from sandy beaches and pineapple fields, to lush tropical jungle and volcanic mountains. And every bit of Maui is worth exploring. There are many ways to do this and we suggest a combination of going it alone and guided excursions. You will miss much if you do not rely some on the people who live here. You will find that most locals love to share their secrets and knowledge of the island, so don’t be shy about asking!

Hiking on Maui

These famous 7 pools are located just outside of Hana, and actually have a lot more then just seven pools to explore as well as a magnificent 400 foot waterfall! This area can be explored on your own, although we suggest hiking with a small tour group who will supply you with gear, food, water and information. They will take you off the beaten trail and show you a water wonderland! It is also quite a treat to let someone else do the driving after a long hike through the rainforest.

Ohea and Kipihulu Hike - This hike will take you through a bamboo forest with lots of swimming in fresh pools and under waterfalls. Learn about the unique vegetation that makes Maui’s rainforests so amazing! Phone 1-866-766-6284.

Biking on Maui

Haleakala Sunrise Downhill Bike Ride - Have you ever dreamed of biking down a volcano or descending 10,000 ft. to sea level under the power of your feet? Well biking down a volcano is just one of the incredible adventures you can experience on Maui. You will depart form 10,000 feet at sunrise and make your way down 38 miles of roadway passing panoramic vistas and miles of national forest. This ride will thrill you as you experience the many different eco-systems from the top of the volcano all the way to the beach! Phone 1-866-766-6284.

The Road to Hana

The road to Hana really does have over 600 curves and over 50 one lane bridges. If you go it alone be sure to give yourself plenty of time, and remember that it is the road to Hana that is the experience! There are many stops along the way to rest and stretch your legs and to take great photos! There are many ways to get to Hana besides your own rental car, and this is one trip that we suggest going with a guide. The best tours are small groups and cost a bit more than the less expensive large group bus tours.

Exclusive Heavenly Hana Limo Van Tour - You can sit back and enjoy the road to Hana in a wonderful Limo-Van. You are served a gourmet lunch, stop for a swim in a fresh water pool and waterfall and stroll along a black sand beach. There are lots of stops along the way and the guides are local, entertaining and well informed. This is certainly a service centered trip to Hana. Enjoy! Phone 1-866-766-6284.

Horseback Riding on Maui

Haleakala Horseback Adventures - Take a Horseback adventure of a lifetime with one of the only horseback rides in the world that ventures into a dormant volcano! Phone:1-866-766-6284.

Maui Paniolo Horseback Ride - Unforgettable 2-hour morning or afternoon journey through an actual working cattle ranch, where the breathtaking beauty of an unspoiled Maui will unfold before your eyes. Phone:1-866-766-6284.
