Enjoy Surfing at Waikiki Beach!
Your 1 and 2-hour sessions will get you up and riding waves, guaranteed! Learn with Hedemann Surf School, offering over 17 years of experience in Hawaii and around the world! Hedemann Surf School is geared to introduce students to the fundamentals of surfing and water safety. Students will learn about waves, currents, winds and tides. Everyone can benefit from the surf school experience.
Learn to Surf with the Pros!
The Hedemann professional team consists of professional surfers, Hawaiian watermen and lifeguard and CPR trained instructors. They are dedicated to providing an enriched Hawaiian surfing experience for all levels of surfers.
Worried about the Waikiki crowds? Relax, you're lesson takes place at a less crowded section of Waikiki beach called Tonggs and begins with a 20-minute land session where you'll learn about waves, currents, winds, tides, proper positioning to stand up, surf etiquette and water safety.
In the water you'll learn proper paddling techniques, turning, and maneuvering and before you know it, you'll be standing and riding waves, Waikiki-style!
Options
Group Lesson - 5:1 & more student to instructor ratio
Semi Private Lesson - 2:1 student to instructor ratio
Private Lesson - enjoy 1 on 1 instruction plus a free Hedemann Surf School T-shirt!
Children 14 & Under: Are required to take a private lesson to ensure safety and the best results.
Details
Children: 15 & older pay same price as adults
Location: Waikiki/Honolulu
Schedule: 7 Days a week
Morning Lessons: 8:30am-11:00am
Afternoon Lessons: 11:30am-2:00pm
Evening Lesson: 2:30pm-5:00pm
Special Requirements:
• Apply sunscreen to face, arms and backs of legs ONLY
• Students must be comfortable in the water and able to swim.
• All participants must sign an Acknowledgement of Risk waiver.

My daughter and I were both very pleased with the whole experience. From the , on the ground, instruction/practice to going right out into the beautiful waters and catching that first wave! We will do it again for sure, the next time we visit the Island! Definitely worth it!!

We had a long wait time at their shop. However, physically I could not have paddled out one more time, so time in the water was sufficient. Waiting is always frustrating and I don't need frustration while on vacation or spending hard-earned money.
