Winter months mark the whale watch season in Hawaii, when approximately 5,000 majestic North Pacific Humpback Whales leave their summer home in icy Alaskan waters and migrate 3,000 miles to warm Hawaiian waters.

If our Naturalist on board does not sight a whale during the cruise, guests are given a complimentary return whale watch cruise.

The Star of Honolulu

Humpback whale enthusiasts enjoy a 2-hour or a2½-hour cruise from the top observation deck of ‘The Star of Honolulu', a 230-foot, 4-deck cruise ship. Outdoor viewing decks and large windows in the air-conditioned cabins provide for wonderful sighting opportunities and views. Truly a dedicated whale watching experience, our expert naturalist shares insightful information and educational commentary on the humpback whale's behavior and biology.
