Island Seaplane Service is the only aerial tour on Oahu recommended by Frommer's, National Geographic Travel Guides and AAA. The pilots are Part 91-Certified and offer over 44 years of experience operating seaplanes in Alaska, Canada, the Arctic and the Caribbean.
Company president, Pat Magie has over 36,000 hours of flight time with more than 29,000 of them in seaplanes — he has now broken the world record for seaplane time and was chosen as the 2000 National Seaplane Pilot of the Year.
Seaplane Service operates two aircraft; DeHavilland Beaver can accommodate the pilot plus six passengers, and the Cessna 206 can accommodate the pilot plus three passengers. All flights are pilot narrated with a two-way intercom that allows you to converse along the way, and each passenger will have a window seat!

Our van will pick you up at your Waikiki Hotel and bring you back to our seaplane base. On your arrival at the base we will brief you on a large-scale map as to your flight and some of the highlights that you will see enroute. We can drop you off at Aloha Tower Market Place or Ala Moana Shopping Center on your return to Waikiki should you desire.

5 Activity Rating 5 Crew RatingThis was the definitely the best excursion of our honeymoon. We were completely taken aback and it certainly exceeded all our expectations. Although the tour was postponed for a couple of days, we were kept completely updated. The tour eventually took place on our last day and it couldn't have been a better day to do it - a wonderful opportunity to see the whole island, in a seaplane, the pilot and just the two of us. The wealth of knowledge of the pilot of Oahu made the whole adventure brilliant. A definite recommendation. The best!
