This parasail flight departs from the Kewalo Basin in Waikiki with a spectacular view of Waikiki and Honolulu coastline. Each flight lasts 8 to 10 minutes. You may choose to fly single or tandem.
Waikiki Parasail uses the harness method for a soft, dry take-off and landing directly from the boat (you'll have the option of a water touch or a completely dry flight). A maximum of 12 people will be on each trip.

Standard Ride: This ride will take you up to 500 feet above sea level for 8 to 10 minutes.
Non-Flying Observer: You may join your friends or family just as an Observer!

Pickup: From all major hotels in Waikiki, you will be picked up 15 minutes prior to your activity time. Exact time will be on your ticket.
Start Time: Every hour on the hour
Duration: 1 to 1½ hours including transportation. Actual parasailing is 8-10 minutes, 300-500 feet
Day of Operation: 7 days a week
Children: Minimum age - 5 years
Location: Kewalo Basin, Waikiki
Weight restrictions: Minimum weight to fly alone is 180 lbs. Those weighing less than that amount will most likely be flying tandem (the captain makes the final decision).
Note: All flights are scheduled depending on wind. Absolutely not recommended for pregnant women or individuals with back problems! Maximum 12 flyers per trip. Participants under 18 must have a waver signed by a parent or guardian at the time of check-in.

I'd recommend explaining to the customer the "actual airborne time" (5-7 minutes) and the elevation. Also, that a "gratuity" is expected by the crew. First thing you observe when you board the boat are the five "positioned" $20 dollar bills taped near the helm with phrases alluding to tipping the crew. I'd appreciate a simple sign saying "Gratuities or tips appreciated".

I asked not to be dipped. I was dipped 3 times. I just liked the airtime better. I'm also terrified of fish, not water, just what's in it.

Customers are offered a 24 exposure roll of film where the crew takes pictures while you are parasailing. Out of the 24 shots, only 6 were visible. The rest of the pictures were mostly of the sky. I do not recommend purchasing the 24 photos. The rest of the activity was awesome.
