Maui is known as one of the world's great whale watch meccas. While you can see toothed whales and dolphins off Maui's shores year-round, we are famous for the majestic humpback whales that migrate here each winter and spring.

Humpback whales come to Maui in large numbers to mate, give birth and care for their young. Their dramatic reproductive behavior, mating competition among the males and underwater singing are fascinating to see and hear - especially from the deck of a boat.
