Maui ATV Off-Road Tours at Kahoma Ranch

Maui ATV Off-Road Tours at Kahoma Ranch is a unique experience like no other in the country. Enjoy a ride in your own dune buggy through an active cattle pasture on private dirt roads and trails inaccessible to the general public. Experience the unspoiled West Maui Mountains with breathtaking views of Lahaina Town, Kaanapali, Lana‘i and Moloka‘i.

2½ Hour Tour Includes Transportation to and from check-in location. Following an orientation, all drivers must successfully drive a proficiency course. Both driver and passenger will have opportunities to switch off driving throughout the tour as there are 3 to 4 stops along the way for picture taking and resting.

Drive up to “The Garden” where a lookout has been built into Kahoma Valley, the views are breathtaking and include native plants and informative signs. Guests enjoy refreshments at the garden which consist of granola/energy bars, fruits, and beverages.

Description
This tour goes up to 1800 ft. above sea level over 600 acres. Terrain is rugged, with tight turns, rocky roads, mud puddles and a stream. Trail is unpaved, natural dirt roads. This is an off-road adventure and you WILL get dirty and wet, (how wet may is controlled by the driver and how they choose to drive through mud and stream). Slight chance of rain, so bring your raincoats or panchos. Showers not provided. Sinks and paper towels available to wash up. We Recommend bringing towel for rental car.


Equipment
All two-seater, 450cc automatic ’07 Yamaha Rhino, with 4-stroke, 4 wheel drive, Aautomatic transmission, Safety roll bar cage, 2 point and 4 point safety harness. Weight capacity is 500 lbs. per buggy.

Requirements
Experience is not necessary. Instructions, safety brief and equipment orientation will be provided before tour begins. Be sure your clothing and personal items will withstand the dirt, the mud, the water and the bouncing around! Long pants, shirts, closed-toe shoes are required for your safety (we provide mandatory eye protection and helmets). Rental clothing (shirt and pants are available for a $5 wash fee).

Days of Operation: 7 days a week, year round
Children: Riders 5 & older pay same price as adults. Children as young as 5 may ride as a passenger with a responsible adult or with a guide.
Restrictions: Drivers must be 16 & older with a valid driver's license. Pregnant women or anyone with heart, neck or back problems are not allowed to participate.
