Kauai Adventure Tour to Wailua Falls
Kauai Adventure Tour to Wailua Falls
Combine idyllic paddling with a hike to Bridal-Veil waterfall. This relaxing and safe is a wonderful waterfall adventure. It combines idyllic paddling on the Wailua River and a hike to a remote waterfall. The Wailua River became the center of activity for early Hawaiians and is known as one of Hawaii's two most sacred places. At night, it is said that one can still hear ancient drums thunder.
On the Blue Lagoon tours, enjoy your guided tour along the scenic Hanalei River and Bay Reef Lagoon accompanied by charming water-borne natural historians. Safe family enjoyment with the land, water, fauna and flora genuinely interpreted.
Highlights are views of Bali Hai (Makana Peak), a paddle down the Hanalei Wildlife Preserve and the sweeping "South Pacific" panorama. Bird and turtle watch, snorkel for views of colorful reef fish. Wade by a sandy beach. The more adventurous can paddle out in a surf kayak.
Come frolic with us in these calm, clear, shallow waters!
Hike Along an Ancient Trail
The trail leading to our secret waterfall is a beautiful "greenhouse" where flowers, brooks and ferns abound. The early Polynesian culture is represented here, steeped in a colorful past, rich with rock-wall terracing, legends and lore. The setting for this jaunt is tranquil and tropical, the pace is unhurried.
We delight in sharing the peaceful, pastoral existence of ancient Hawaii with you. Bird watch for a night heron or coot. Swim in the pool at the falls. Come share the life and natural history of this mystical land and enjoy its great quiet with us.

Being the first party to the falls was terrific. I don't think getting to the falls and seeing 20 or more other people there would have been the same. Recommend the early trip for that reason.

I had requested the afternoon tour, NOT the morning tour, and when I arrived, I was not on the guide's manifest. Luckily, there was room to accommodate us. However, the error by HawaiiActive.com could have turned out worse.

It would be great if the guide could remind group to reapply bug repellant after walking through streams/going in swimming hole!

The trail was VERY muddy and while its ruggedness made it quaint, it was difficult to walk in places. It might be worth warning people that they need to plan on walking through streams and mud...I might have dressed differently.
