Ocean Kayaking Kauai from Port Allen. Join us for a sea kayaking adventure along Kauai's gorgeous south shore from Poipu to Port Allen. This tour is 8 miles long, in what are typically rough seas, especially by late morning as the trade winds fill in. This segment of the coastline holds some of Kauai's most secluded bays and beaches, and believe us, we take advantage of them on this tour!
After launching from Kukui'ula Small Boat Harbor, we pass the famous Spouting Horn, an amazing salt-water blowhole. After 45 minutes, we'll surf our kayaks up on the beach at Lawai Kai, the exquisitely beautiful site of Queen Emma's Summer Home.

We continue downwind past the white sand beach and barrier reef zone near Palama's Point. This is where we normally see marine life like Spinner Dolphins and Honu (sea turtles), both common in this area. During the months of November through April, we may happen upon migratory Humpback Whales! There are few words that describe seeing a breaching or blowing whale from a kayak.
Lunch and Leisure on the Beach at Wahiawa - After 7 miles of paddling we're ready for lunch. For that, we chose one of those special Kauai places to relax and eat, a big protected bay known as Wahiawa where you can comb the ¼-mile crescent shaped sandy paradise, play in the water and snorkel the fringes of the bay. If that isn't enough, your guide will lay out a tasty picnic lunch with a killer brownie that may send you into "nappy time," which is fully endorsed.
