The Kohala Zipline Canopy Tour traverses a forested, stream-rich land on the northern tip of the Big Island of Hawaii, an area known since ancient times as Halawa. Soaring platforms built into majestic trees, accentuated by arching suspension bridges and progressively longer zip lines, our course promise the best of Hawaii zip line adventure.
Your aerial trekking course explores a storied mauka (mountain) forest, which spans a river bed on the slopes of the extinct volcano, Kohala. Zipping from tree to tree, you fly past the plants of Hawaii, native kukui trees and fragrant gingers, blossoming ohia shrubs and magnificent eucalyptus. Below you stretch remnants of old taro terraces, which once formed the agricultural foundation of Hawaiian society. Dual WhisperLines consist of double cables with thick, durable coating, giving you a redundancy in support while reducing cable noise. Zip line canopy guides are trained and certified to the rigorous standards of the Association for Challenge Course Technologies (ACCT), as well as in First Aid and CPR.
