Travel to magnificent coastal viewpoints and stunning lava formations, before exploring the mountain by foot. Pinzgauers will carry you from sea level to 6000 feet, where a surreal scene of black lava flows and native drylands forest awaits.

Walk amidst a forest of native birdsong and scramble through a lava tube. See firsthand the geologic forces that created the Hawaiian Islands, at the heart of the Hualalai 1801 eruption, Ka'upulehu Crater.

Schedule: Daily year-round. Morning tour recommended.
Time: Morning Tour - 8:30am-12:00pm. Afternoon Tour - 12:45pm-4:15pm. Check-in 15 mins prior
Duration: 3.5 hours
Location: Hualalai Mountain (close to Kailua-Kona)
Children: Children: Minimum age 6 years old. Children 6-12 pay reduced price
Included: Snacks & beverages - fresh fruits, banana bread, pound cake, soda, juice and bottled water.

Requirements: Closed-toe walking shoes or hiking boots, short-sleeved shirt, shorts and a light jacket or sweater. Participants should not be physically challenged or unable to walk over uneven or rocky terrain.
Note: Not recommended for those with back or neck problems.
