Hawaii Adventure Nature Tours - Off Road PinzTrek, Kohala
Take a Ride On the Wild Side. Explore the remote Pololu Valley on the northern tip of the Big Island aboard a rugged, off-road Pinzgauer 6x6 vehicle. Witness the life-giving and land-sculpting power of water, while driving through a changing landscape of rushing streams, cascading waterfalls and towering cliffs. See how people throughout history have lived off the power of water, from the terraced
lo'i of the Hawaiians to the fast-moving irrigation ditches of Kohala sugar plantations. You'll even have time to kick off your shoes and take a dip in a cool mountain pool!
(Requires 2-hour drive to North Kohala from Kailua-Kona)
Relax & Enjoy the Adventure!
On this exciting off-road ride on privately owned land, we cross two streams to view waterfalls, travel upslope for dramatic views of the dramatic coastline with Maui's Haleakala Volcano visible across the Alenuihaha Channel. Lining the trail are exotic guava trees, towering ironwoods and native ohia-lehua forests.
Once at the valley rim, you'll stop for an incredible view of Polulu Valley and Waiakalae Falls below. On the way down we'll stop at our secret lookout for a view of the Polulu Valley's famous black sand beach.
