"We are so glad we decided to do your dolphin swim. It was fantastic! Our friends couldn't believe that we were actually IN the water with the dolphins! Thank you so much, it's an experience we'll never forget!"
(Karen & Mike P., KS)
Dolphin swim in Hawaii - Dolphin encounter & swimming with wild dolphins from Big Island of Hawaii. Enjoy the most unique and authentic way to swim with wild dolphins anywhere! Join guide Phillipa or one of her team, aboard a private boat for this unique experience. You will be escorted to the best dolphin swim locations.

Dolphin encounters can last anywhere from a few minutes to 4 hours. But remember, your life can change forever with a one-second glance into the eye of a dolphin!

At last, a dream come true!
Phillipa is a wonderful guide who caters to your specific needs and skill level, providing you with a magical underwater experience that is often life changing! She has spent countless hours observing Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins, Spotted Dolphins, Bottlenose Dolphins, Humpback Whales, Pilot Whales, False Killer Whales, Manta Rays, & Sea Turtles in the wild.

Depending upon the time of year and the precise location you can expect warm and crystal clear waters, mostly between 72—82 degrees.

There is no need to be a good swimmer to enjoy swimming with dolphins. Swimmers of any ability can have extraordinary encounters. Just let us know your ability and we can prepare by bringing along flotation devices, noodles, floatation jackets, etc. if necessary.

As the dolphins are free to choose where they go any time of day, there are no guarantees. However, the dolphins do enjoy human interaction and based upon previous experiences, there is a 90% chance of your swimming with wild dolphins. If the dolphins are not present on the day you have booked, we will snorkel in some of the best snorkeling spots on the Big Island!

The hawaii active services were excellent. The crew on the boat seemed inexperienced and unable to put us in the water with the dolphins. They blamed the dolphins. I have done this type of excursion before and there was no problem - but it does take skill and expertise to "read" where they are swimming and manuever the boat correctly. The water guide also could not explain anything historical about maui or the shoreline as we boated by...she was a weak guide.

Unfortunately, Philippa could not be with us due to a broken ankle and instead she sent a friend. Her friend was very friendly and committed, but there were some conflicts between her and the crew from the boat. I think this was due to her being unexperienced and in charge and the crew being very experienced. In total we were 5 guests and all experienced snorklers. It was an experience I will not forget. Since the group was so small, I did not feel as being the super tourist, which I appreciated a lot.

The guide/crew need to make sure all participants wear the proper gear (follow safety procedures) before actively taking part in this activity. They were very friendly and personable.
